Mobile Plans?

maybe this is little off topic, but the blue-eyed one is shopping for a mobile phone and wondering if the provider (who I imagine use them heavily) can provide any recommendations?

hey maybe we could use mLife or Nextel to provide a direct link between clients and providers... you know, go high tech, share calendars for sudden openings, hire a sexy or beefy administrative assistant?  just kidding, but seriously, any good phones and/or plans you like?

There's too many "depends..."

If you're a highway traveler, then ATT Wireless has by far the best non-metro area coverage nationwide.  I think they have more roaming partners than everyone else combined.

Metro ares ONLY?  Then Sprint may have the best deals $ wise.

Need integrated data or wireless laptop modem included in your plan?  Then T-Mobile has the edge.

Do you work in an environment where Nextel's 2-way radio features would be an advantage?  Then it's Nextel.

Does free roaming or long distance matter to you?  Also, ask around home and work to make sure you don't go with a carrier that has a dead spot right at your desk.

Hmmm, I could see your scheduling idea creating new lingo.  "I'll be back in an hour, I'm going to get an mJob."

Its Nextel for sure.  I have had att, voicestream, etc.  Most people seem to hate sprint.  And I got sick of the $1000.00 phone bills each month ( no Kiddding I have proof).  So I shopped around and Nextel cannot be beat.  I have their highest plan which all of my incoming calls are free and I have so many outgoing minutes that I have yet to exceed them.  My bill is always the same about $130.00.  No surprises.  NO rate increases.  NO high bills.  Easy and good customer service!!!  How many can say that about the others??  I also have the walkie talkie feature which is nice and instant messaging, java apps. internet and everything you can think of.  Nextel was made for anyone in buisness.

looks like T-mobile for me.....

1. decent minutes per dollar with free long distance.
2. great net/browsing/instant messaging features
3. good phones, triband options and GSM for the global smurf
4. dynamic and growing options/flexible plans

not sure on the quality though?
