We do these every now and then.  Here are some items you may see in a POT's profile that may be a red flag:

1. Young women (maybe 18-25) or women who say they are from the "poor side of life" with pics in places that don't fit:
- Standing in front of a Gucci Store in an expensive dress and holding a $5k handbag
- At an upscale club in a city not local to them. IE: From Fresno, but at a $10k bottle-service booth in a NY club
- On a G4 or G5 private/corporate jet, wearing designer outfits and drinking champagne.

2. Any profile text that starts with: "soy una chica..."

3. Lengthy text about finding true love or a soul-mate or looking to start a family with a quiet, humble (aka old loser that is you) man.  This is especially risky if she is a 30-ish pretty Asian who says she owns her own business and travels internationally. This is the classic set up for the "Pig Butcher" scam. If you are not sure and decide to talk to her... just wait long enough for her to mention crypto. Once that happens, time to bail.

Very good insights. Probably mentioned previously (and more easily vetted in a not too large metro area), no pics with an identifiable local background. And while this takes a bit more effort, early quizzing on their knowledge of the area. If that reveals no familiarity, the an easy out.

In the bottom of the profile page is a block with 7 icons and descriptions:
1. Gender
2. Education
3. Drinking Habits
4. Smoking Habits
5. Has Children
6. Ethnicity
7. Occupation

The info provided here needs to be considered in the context of the entire profile, especially education and occupation.

Does it make sense that a 21-year-old has an advanced degree like an MBA or PhD?
Does it make sense that a 38-year-old with an MD who says she is a Physician needs an SD?
Does it make sense that a POT without a college degree has a job that always requires one?

All these potential "yellow" flags should be considered, and if possible, gently explored if/when you start to message.  Example: "I'm quite impressed that you achieved an MBA so quickly! I remember how hard it was to get my degree as I was working two jobs while in school. How did you do that?"  Ok, maybe she's a female Doogie Howser... but yeah...no.

When picture and age don't match!  I'm looking at one very pretty young blond who could easily pass for 15, but her profile age says 37!  Also, beware when what she writes makes no sense whatsoever.  Here's an example copied from an actual profile:

"If you are a little more sincere and change your girlfriend for a long time, don't write to me. Everyone is very busy and doesn't have so much energy to change to the relative stability is the guarantee of everyone's safety and a respect"

Probably written by a very bad translation app.

Been perusing POT profiles all week, just to keep a toe in the water, so to speak.

It hit me this morning that I tend to cringe when I see bathroom selfies. Not because the POT is not attractive, but because her bathroom is a cluttered disaster.  The area is often littered with multiple product bottles, make up items, dirty towels, old shower and toilet fixtures, etc. and suggests that she has no awareness of how the crappy, low-rent apartment she lives in looks.

Why didn't she take just a few minutes to tidy up?  Maybe clear off that sink counter and drop that toilet seat lid? Maybe check what's in the background reflected in the mirror she used to get the shot? Is her slovenly approach to housekeeping a good sign of a thoughtful, caring and responsible SB? Or is she just tone deaf that the clutter in the pic may seriously detract from the image of a cute, approachable hottie she wants to project?

As I walked down that thought path, I turned a significant corner and had a minor epiphany.  These disorganized bathroom selfies are actually a very good sign, perhaps even a rare Green Flag!  What scammer, GPS, ROB, catfish, is going to use a pic like this?  Most red-flag profiles have pics that are carefully curated (and probably stolen); leaning on a $200k sports car, carrying a $3k designer bag seated on a G4 private jet, drinking a cocktail at a swanky New York club, etc.

So maybe, just maybe the cluttered bathroom selfie showing her near-empty bottle of Redkin shampoo (without a cap)
and that used-past-its-prime luffa sponge hanging from the showerhead are the real deal from a POT who aligns with what most of us are really looking for?

Maybe...

What do you think?

I wouldn't trust the "props" in photos that chicks appear in front of.  It's more likely they walked up to something, got a snappy, and then kept moving along.

I think the clutter often says they just don't have to make an effort, they are giving up the pussy and getting paid for it, isn't that enough? It is sad really. But you are right, Herb, at least it's not a carefully curated scammer photo! I am still trying to figure out the photo I saw of a beautiful 21 year old with angel wings and a halo, presenting her vagina on a satin pillow embroidered with the words "I Know My Worth!" Perhaps I only imagined it.
