How do I respond to the occasional dime piece that will message me out of the blue (no prior exchange) asking for a "date". No "Hi, how are you?" or "What are you looking for?" or a suggestion of a meet-up.
Is it, as I suspect, TGTBT (to good to be true)? Am I getting catfished/scammed? Is she a "closer" (confident in her ability to extract cash from me)? Or (oh please god, let it be true), just a slut, wearing that pussy out to take as much cash as she can?
However, lately, the number of scammers of various types far outnumbers the number of honest, fun loving sluts. So just be careful vetting them. If she's willing to meet you for coffee/lunch, with NO advance payment, before committing to a playdate, that's generally a good sign. But I have def met a few who wanted to skip the preliminary M&G and go straight to a playdate! They do exist.
POT's have a wide variety of communication skills, and a wider range of motivations. You need more input from her to find out what she's looking for and how she wants to proceed.
I suggest you answer in way that acknowledges the original message, but be vague about any specifics. Then ask a few questions to get more intel. "Thanks for your note. I'm sure a date with you will be an amazing experience. Let's connect to work out more details about our mutual goals and objectives.
The point is, keep her talking - for a while. Then make a decision to move it off line or to bail.

Great advice Herb. But, credit to me. Before I came back here to read responses, I'd replied with:

No response, as of yet.
I think any response is about as good as any other to break the ice. However one major question is how your site charges. SA you pay by the month, so contacting individuals is free. The strategy there is contact everyone you are interested in. If, on the other hand, it's a pay per contact site, like Secret Benefits, then you have to be selective in who you contact. And you want your initial messages to be more enticing than just "Hey, back."
