First of all Thank you bigdoggie for making a comeback. I fully support this and will bring many here to get the information that they seek for this hobby. I want to point out that BD is provider friendly. We are not attacked here by the mod aka/client that the other board has. IF your mod is a client how can he be even steven? Just a question?? We are not SOLD for a sum for profit against our will. By stealing our web photos and items off of our site. BD has never emailed me telling me too bad we took it upon ourselves to sell you if you like it or not. I dont see BD in one of the slum papers. Having my reviews pulled over "there" has been great for me. I don't get all the sicko phone calls from freaks J****ing off to my WAYYYYY TO detailed reviews. ETC. ETC.
My response would be...(I could be wrong, but I doubt TBD would allow this). SRV has NEVER shown partiality, believe me.. if he showed partiality, both Morgan and Madison would have never been allowed to post here EVER. It's plain out wrong to suggest such a thing. As far as CityVibe ad's directed to and from TER...I too had this problem, but the reason was that I created an ad on CityVibe, which directed people to my reviews on TER. TER responded with linking to CityVibe. His response was if they link to me, I link to them. This is a business decision in order to bring his site up on search engines. It's just a matter of adding your web site link to your cityvibe ad in order to give patrons the option of also seeing your site.

I agree. This site has always had a more friendly atmosphere, especially to providers, even though some have tried to portray it as not being that way. I have read where people are praising the "other site" for not removing or moderating certain posters, but in fact, that site seems to only allow those views which reflect their own to stay up. If a person dare talk bad about the site in any matter, (even if it is not on their site), then that poster's privileges are removed, and if they are a provider, all of their reviews, etc., are removed as well. Yes, a person may mess up and say something wrong, or post something in haste, but in most cases I don't think it's necessary to consistently throw it in their face and follow them around haunting them with it. (People who do that usually have too much time on their hands and low self-esteem.)
In reality, this will probably always be a battle of the sites, because it is not just in MN this happens, and because the sites are competitors. I, for one though, am very happy with TBD, always have been, and I am sure always will be. I credit this site for helping me "make it" while at the same time making it more safe and more enjoyable for me on the internet, and in this business.

My response: Hogwash... I asked TER to open this board because you, Morgan controled/moderated TBD and have harrassed many providers and hobbyists who get in your way. Old news, but seems to be relavent since you seem to still be so active over there.

The MOD here is not in someones back pocket getting his way like he is over there. And Im sad to say I have seen that mod/client a few times. Talk about back stabbing when you dont get your way........OUCH. Someone should let him know to use some lube next time....LOL. BD does not have the impression nor big fat head to think that they rule you and your clients like puppets that you are over "there". I started this biz w/o any boards help and can continue to profit w/o them. Let it be known I made a mistake with that posting. I dont deny that one bit. Funny thing is I stand behind my name. NO need to alias the living s*** out of everything. I was sick with the flu, it was night. I had taken tylenol pm and Nyquil to get some rest cause I was feeling so ill. I thought I would get online to take care of the emails. I was being hounded and harrassed by a client that wanted an apt. called every nasty name in the book. etc etc. This client choose to wine about not getting his way on the board. I chose to cut, copy, paste some of his emails to the board. I was carefull to edit all the html, his, name calling, his email addy, where he was located etc. Forgot the number.........OOPS (lesson learned girls dont post when your ill and on meds.) Went to bed not knowing there was a problem. Slept until noon. Then got up and saw all the hoopla. I thought OH MY GOD. But asked myself why the hell no one called me to let me know.......That would have been nice. But no luck. I as so many know did not intend to be evil. IF I wanted to do that I would have posted his full name, hotel, etc. etc. Well since then the same "man" posts crap about it over and over. GET OVER IT. I apologized to him profusly even though he continued his harrasment of me. I for once made a mistake. I am human. I thank all the guys and girls that stood up for me. I have a solid reputation, of high quality, honest and dependable service. My career has shown that. I want to thank the men & women that are taking a stand over there by pulling reviews, not renewing, pulling memberships etc. No one should stand for bad treatment by a board that pimps its girls and makes them think they will starve w/o them. Also the posting PUBLIC HANGING made me puke. What is that a threat of death to me??? How eloquent. LOL So with that I know there will be much banter over there.......where they keep saying no one reads BD. hmmmm they all are....lol BD is greatly used in many cites. Where as the other board is used for weekly ads.........boring. So bring on the fun in the new year. Im not going anywhere!! Kisses to you!!
My response: SRV had nothing to do with you being banned. That was between you and Staff. SRV has been nothing but fair and civil to you. Why blame anyone but yourself for this mess and why involve the boards. No-one threatened you, you got banned because you made a mistake, not once but apparently several times.

I hope the negativity there did not get you too down. You were the "hanging of the week" and then the next week the small minds move onto other people to hang, (rates, aliases, women from Boston, bbbj's, etc., etc.). As I said in my other reply, you posted something in haste, you obviously know that you slipped up by your responses to it, and you obviously aren't going to make the same mistake twice. No one needs to follow you around and throw that in your face everywhere you go. I am confident of that statement because you have a long standing positive reputation, and you don't deserve the figurative stoning. Take care!

I was just informed by someone trying to log in that the whiners association is now requiring cookies to log in to an account. They suggest setting your browser security to low so they can place a cookie on your machine. I wonder how many viruses, trojan horses, worms, and spyware their users will end up with? Sometimes you just have to wonder what the hell are they thinking?

Ok, it was inevitable that some inflamatory posts would go up on TBD, I was pretty upset (for 3 seconds) about what's been said about SRV... He's a big boy, he can take a few nasty posts from someone banned from TER of her own doings. Reminds me of a 6 year old caught stealing then pointing to his lil brother to lay blame.
TER and TBD will always be rivals. Let the foul smell come from over there, not here. I worked hard to get TER to open up this board back when TBD was the only choice because 2 providers were running it and were harrassing anyone who they felt they couldn't control or felt threatened by. I worked hard to get TER to allow us to post without being moderated. Some still should be moderated though LOL. I've taken my damn share of hits from both Madison and Morgan. TER still didn't ban them did he? Not for placing personal info about me here at least. Madison got banned because she posted a hobbyists phone number. This is the second time she's outed someone on this board that I know of.
Regarding aliases, I completely understand why some people use aliases and would hope when using one it isn't used to create a flame war. If a provider is harrassing you over positive posts of other providers, get some balls.. She sleeps with others, she certainly shouldn't feel she owns you.
I thank you also for your work in getting the TER Twincities Board up and running. The attacks of this board by M&M are a joke and I'm sure that a minimum of 95% of people can see that clearly and readily....and I do hope that Morgan is banned here now after calling us all "small minded assholes" and attacking this board in her posts here and on TBD!

morgan is the one that goes by "sick of angry posters". if you do a search under both her names you see she uses the same phrases quite often, like "IMO" and "my $.02" quite a bit.if this nutcase isn`t "working "anymore why is she so concerned with what goes on here or the other board? i`m sure she will surface again with a new name (unless she already has). i think she needs to mind her own business and get a friggin life
Misty, I am sure that you feel the need to repost her comments and your responses. I can sense that you carry a deep emotion on this issue.
In the future, I would prefer you did not do this. There is no contest between TER and TBD. Both have there good and bad points. I would like to focus our efforts on the more important things in life (getting laid) and leave the bickering to another site.
SRVFAN, you have been doing a great job. Please leave this thread up, but delete any further threads on this issue. Thanks!

Thank TBD for providing a path and thank TER for providing an option. The fairest medium will win in most cases. Case in point: in many states TBD ran the whole show, with tons of traffic.
In Minneapolis, for certain, TER traffic is substantial and meaningful, going beyond mere ads for traveling providers. Hmm.... I wonder why.
McDonalds and BurgerKing peacefully co-exist each providing nuances that are meaningful to different folks. I guess time will tell if TBD offers some sort of value add, but to be honest their interface is graphics-intensive, their reviews section hard to manage, the performance lags, the value-ad is missing, they seem to have revenue model built on provider ads and an not participation. These are all my opinion as a software engineer.
Until someone comes up with a better provider review system, I am not switching. Furthermore, it only takes a weeks worth of work these days to build scalable portals. What really counts is ease of use and market interest. As far as the twin cities is concerned, this site is the place to be. If I am looking in other states, I might consider competitors. Depends. that's my 2cents.
