If we have a provider profile with the city as Gold Coast, but no other information (nothing in the location field other than 'hotel') and we need to map it to a specific city in the Gold Coast region, what is your suggestion?

If Gold Coast is selected have a new textbox field pop up under it that requires a city name.

If that is possible

But where would you map existing ones that just say in all or hotel. It could be changed later to correct one.

I'd suggest Santa Barbara. Kind of in the middle of the region.

...Santa Barbara on the north.  Right in the middle is Carpenteria, so that's the city I would suggest.  It's not as well known as Santa Barbara but it's more geographically accurate.  Hobbyists can look it up to see where it is.

San Luis Obisbo / Pismo Beach and as far north as Monterey and Santa Cruz are consider Central Coast.

A quick visit to the Central Coast Ad forum will show that.

Gold Coast is all of Ventura County (Ventura, Oxnard, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Camarillo and part of Westlake Village), and should also include Santa Barbara County (Carpinteria, Montecito, Santa Barbara, Goleta).

I'm a native of Ventura, and as long as I can remember Ventura County and SB County have been referred to as the "Gold Coast" of California.  Mainly because we really don't fit into any other category.  We are not considered "Southern California" even though we are neither Central California, or Northern California!

Some clarification throughout the California region would be fantastic! I am coming to Palm Springs and wasn't sure of the best place to post, and where others would look.

Thank you!!
