Sacramento is not too far from SF  however, this inactive board makes it seem like it far from all the SF fun.

This board is dead because most of the Sac hobbyists and providers don't hang out here.  There is another board that represents the Bay Area and Sacramento that gets a lot more traffic but can't be mentioned here.

Just a little history and we'll see if the admins will allow this but there was a hugely popular board called myredbook that dominated the Bay Area and Central Valley.  But that got shut down, you can probably still find news reports about it. Bay Area/Central Valley hobbyists and providers alike were looking for a new home.  Many of them gravitated to TER and whined and demanded that TER needed a Central Valley board.  The admins gave in and created this board for them, but most of them dropped off because TER was "too hard".  or something like that.  :)

Its not like we didn't warn them though that TER was a different place than rb.

I love this site. Too bad it's so unused in this area.

Boys and Girls realizes that they have no place to go...Especially the oldtimers and the lifers from Sacramento and the Central Valley will revisits this place when they abandoned it 3 years ago..

P411 and TER Whitelist will be the best option for client verifications, providers verification is an NS invented screening processed that is questionable, especially when it comes to privacy, it's borderline violations of boundary...Giving names, phone numbers, e-mails to someone is a bit scary..That's one of the reasons the Professional Hobbyist avoids NS because of that..Providers of NS are not to protective of their clients personal info and freely shares it without permissions from clients...And also Providers Verifications is the LE's playbook, that's why there are so many succesful sting in NS because of it...NS providers trust the verified reviews, which can easily fabricates by LE....

I began hobbying via TER while I lived in Las Vegas.  Back then I was known (or unknown) as "Kreyzy" if memory serves.  When I moved to the Sacramento area in 2007, TER didn't have much local representation.  I found MRB, and signed up there.  Still there was not too much action.  I went into hibernation and about a year later when I checked in on MRB again, it had seemed to explode and became my home until it's demise.  Still TER didn't have much local representation at that time, so I again sat around and waited until NS became the local place to be.

Now, with NS down, I again have nowhere else to be.  I see TER still does not have a Sacramento forum.  Being a part-time hobbyist, I know my opinions are not that important, but I'd LOVE to see TER fill the void that us Sac area folk are in.  What will it take to make that happen, I surely do not know, but maybe a Sac forum would help???

One thing I definitely liked back then (and maybe it's still the same) was the review system here.

Though I'm not much of a forum presence, it is nice to have one to be a part of and I hope that continues.
