ED problems

There has been a lot of talk on the other boards about ED, I am sure we all know the various medical and age related causes, such as overweight, poor circulation, etc. What I wonder is this a condition that is fairly inevitable as we age ( thank you Viagra for providing an easy solution) or do we have over 60 members that are free of this problem.

My doctor is amazed at my low blood pressure for my age and overall health.

I credit it to eating well, staying hydrated, exercising and even a glass of red wine each day.

I think that the better you take care of yourself, the better your ability to get an erection will be.

I (57) find that I don't get as hard as I used to for as long as I used to and that I can only do one pop.  Also, about 50% of the time, I can't finish (covered) inside and have to ask the lady to finish me manually.  I'm a non-smoker, distance runner, and a light wine-only drinker, so there's not any physiological issues going on.

I know I have to plan ahead.  I think my root causes are fatigue, especially caused by travel and jet lag, and effects from even one glass of wine before the event.  I also find that the mental stimulation part of it is harder.  I think it's because I find it difficult to mentally connect with a much younger woman, even if she looks like a supermodel.

I tried Viagra once when I bought it over the counter in Amsterdam before going to an orgy/gangbang at a sex club (Yes, you can really do this in Europe!).  I was as hard as a rock all night (4-5 hours) -- not continuously, but I could rise to the occasion quickly.  But, by the 3rd or 4th session, I had absolutely no feeling in the manhood.

Like my dentist says:  "Getting old is a bummer!"

I'm 62 and in I think fairly good shape for someone my age.  I worked in heavy industry all my life so was fairly active.  I do smoke and need to quit.  Since retiring I have started riding a bicycle and walking to try to keep the wolves of age away from the door.
I can still get a good wood but can't pop inside a cover.  Still looking for a lady to show me how the FC2 works.

The biggest change for me over the years (I'm now 60) is a very significant loss of sensitivity.  While this means I can last for as long as I want, it also means I can no longer maintain an erection while wearing a condom.  This isn't a problem with a GF, but it's a big problem when seeing providers.

I can still get an erection OK, but if I'm wearing a condom I'll lose it in just a minute because I literally can't feel anything.  It's so bad I sometimes can't even tell if I'm inside the vagina or not.

So I either have to try the female condom or Viagra (both on my list) or use an alternative finish (BJ or HJ), because vaginal sex with a condom is no longer possible for me.  While I guess that probably gets lumped into the broad category of ED problems, I consider it more of a problem relating to condom use.

Well I will tell you Viagra will help you maintain an erection and get it back sooner(see MAX101 tale of his Amsterdam experience), it will not help with sensitivity issues that much. I know what you mean, you need the right amount of friction to come with a condom. I know my ATF has very good pelvic floor muscles and can tighten up which helps a lot. On some other providers the Viagra will help with the first pop, but while I can get it up again a second pop can elude me if I can't get enough friction. The sensitivity issue seems to be totally different but for me without the Viagra there were times when I was excited but could not keep it hard enough to penetrate or to stay inside long enough. For the sensitivity issue if your lucky and find a provider who knows how to keep her pelvic floor muscles in shape it will help a lot. The other thing is to experiment with lots of different positions to find ones that offer more feeling to you. I looked up 101 sex positions on the internet and started trying them out with my ATF. While a lot seem very much alike, I found sometimes just a minor change in position can help a lot. Plus it was a ball looking them up and trying them out its not everyday you can have a provider admit you showed her something new that she likes.

This is very common.  I have some nerve damage / loss of sensation.  Condoms must move on our side or there is no friction.  There needs to be some lubrication but too much high tech lube reduces friction to "zero" so there is no sensation.  Condoms must be loose enough to move a big while tight enough to stay on.  You or she may need to hold the base on withdrawal to keep from loosing it.
A lady who has good control of her pelvic muscles is a great help plus a willingness to try a lot of positions or adjustments within positions to get the pressure where it needs to be.   The youngest providers seem (in my limited experience) to expect a guy to be all push button...  and I was at their age!  My present needs are best met by a sexy MILF, who has some experience & willing to work to achieve success.

I have a problem similar to G2 and the Female Condom is, IMHO, a Godsend. I've had ladies use them 3-4 times now and with some lube on the "shaft", it works like a charm.

...reason providers don't use them is they are much more expensive than male condoms and they are a little awkward to insert.

I had my first experience with a provider recently and could not sustain an erection or reach a climax but God she tried.  I had almost no sensation.  That has been unusual for me.  With my last GF it was a problem occasionally but if I used Viagra, it helped.  Something new is going and not sure what.  I am getting testosterone shots every two weeks.  When I started those three years ago, they really helped but sometimes the dose has to be adjusted.  But the lack of sensation has definitely gotten worse.  If  a person over 60 with problems has not gotten checked for their testosterone levels, they should.  I'm going to have mine rechecked.  Although my provider was great about it, its no fun not to be able to get the job done.

I'm 64 and the only problem I have is if I don't think the woman is hot enough.  Overweight is a problem for me.  I have become more selective and keep cialsis around just in case.  I find that 1/2 tablet can keep me going for days, condoms notwithstanding.  I recommend you try it.
